In this role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring that dishes are spotless, food is prepared efficiently, and the environment remains safe and sanitary. Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, dining areas, and food prep zones by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients and ensuring all serving ware is ready for service
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to health regulations
- Buss tables when needed to ensure smooth flow of service during busy hours
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely food delivery and efficient kitchen operations
- Cross training for cook positions throughout the kitchen
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques such as chopping, portioning, or ingredient assembly
- Restaurant experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of cleaning procedures and maintaining sanitation standards in a kitchen setting
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and proper use of kitchen equipment
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment
