Terms and Conditions: 10-month position, 8 hours per day.
Mon-Thurs: 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Salary: $21.55 per hour, per current CPA Collective

Oak Park and River Forest High School, or OPRF, is a comprehensive public high school located in Oak Park, IL, a suburb eight miles due west of downtown Chicago. We are a one-school district, with the majority of our students coming from two sender districts, River Forest Public Schools District 90 and Oak Park Elementary School District 97. We offer more than 200 courses, a variety of programs for students with special needs, 103 clubs and activities, and 34 competitive sports. We prepare our students well for post-secondary success, with an average ACT composite score of 24 and a 96% graduation rate.

Position Summary:
Provides overall guidance and oversight of all Student Resource Center operations. Provide lunch breaks and other support to the Testing Center.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrates a commitment to equity, excellence and high expectations for all students and a commitment to the academic and personal well-being of each student.
2. Manages all testing center operations and student management within the center.
3. Maintains accurate attendance records, collects sign-in sheets, and keeps track of use of the center.
4. Manages all supplies, books, and testing center equipment.
5. Interacts with faculty and staff as needed.
6. Guides students in Internet use, word processing, and use of instructional software.
7. Assists students with identifying tutors to support their needs.
8. Assists students with fulfilling study table and detention requirements.
9. Supports student learning and work completion in a safe, clean, positive and respectful learning environment within the Testing Center.
10. Provides guidance to students regarding academic and behavioral expectations when using the Testing Center.
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups; good communication and computer skills, with the ability to suggest improvement in student outcomes, and the ability to maintain an atmosphere conducive to a positive learning environment in the Testing Center. Candidates with an undergraduate degree and experience teaching or testing math will receive preferential consideration.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
Physical Skills and Demands:
Sitting, talking, hearing, visual acuity, ability to communicate well with adolescents; ability to control up to 30 students in an interactive atmosphere.
Environmental Conditions:
Standard classroom/tutorial conditions in a setting of 50 students or fewer.
