Position Overview
We are seeking a BCBA who values ethical practice, collaboration, and individualized care while providing telehealth and in-person consultation services.
This hybrid consulting opportunity combines telehealth consultation with in-person clinical support throughout Kern County and the San Gabriel/Pomona Valley areas. The BCBA Consultant will provide clinical consultation and oversight, conduct behavioral assessments, develop and oversee individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans, provide clinical supervision and support to Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), deliver caregiver training, analyze clinical data, and make data-driven treatment recommendations.
The consultant will collaborate with families, direct-service staff, and interdisciplinary treatment team members to support meaningful client progress, improve functional skills, and promote positive outcomes through ethical, evidence-based ABA practices.

Consultant Scope of Services
- Independent contractor (1099) consulting opportunity.
- Provide ABA consultation services through a combination of telehealth and in-person support based on mutually agreed-upon availability, accepted consultation cases, client needs, and funding-source authorization.
- Provide in-person clinical consultation and support within designated service areas based on accepted consultation cases and client needs.
- Provide telehealth services using SABA Therapy-approved, HIPAA-compliant platforms.
- Maintain an active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing throughout the consulting relationship.
- Maintain professional liability insurance throughout the consulting relationship and provide proof of coverage upon request.
- Maintain all licenses, certifications, and continuing education required to provide ABA services within the consultant's scope of practice.
- Maintain a private, secure workspace and reliable internet access necessary to provide telehealth services
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and within established timelines.
- Provide services in accordance with applicable laws, payer requirements, the BACB Ethics Code, HIPAA requirements, and SABA Therapy clinical procedures.
- Collaborate with SABA Therapy's clinical team and other treatment team members to support quality care and continuity of services.
- Provide in-person clinical consultation and support within designated service areas based on accepted consultation cases and client needs.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Experience conducting behavioral assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and developing individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans.
- Experience providing clinical supervision and oversight to Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in accordance with BACB requirements.
- Strong clinical decision-making and data-analysis skills to evaluate client progress and modify treatment recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Experience providing caregiver training using evidence-based teaching strategies.
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and maintaining client confidentiality.
- Experience using CentralReach or a similar electronic clinical documentation system is preferred.
- Experience providing telehealth ABA services or remote clinical supervision is preferred.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.
- Four (4) or more years of BCBA experience required.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities.
- Experience conducting behavioral assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing clinical supervision.
- Experience providing caregiver training, telehealth services, or remote clinical consultation is preferred.
- Professional liability insurance (or the ability to obtain coverage) is required.
- Ability to complete required background screening and credentialing requirements.
- Ability to travel to assigned service locations with reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance.
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
SABA Therapy Center Service Hours
SABA Therapy provides services Monday through Friday, 8:00am-8:00pm Pacific Time (PT), and Saturday, 8:00am-8:00pm Pacific Time (PT). Consultation opportunities are based on mutually agreed-upon availability, accepted consultation cases, client needs, and funding-source authorization.

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
