We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. - With this position, you have the ability to set your own schedule and hours! Tues, Thurs, and Friday mornings are unavailable, but there is open availability outside of those hours
- We are looking for a part time therapist. This is an independent contractor position
Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual client needs. Prenatal massages also preferred but not required
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health concerns, symptoms, and treatment goals
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical information using proper medical terminology
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in compliance with occupational health standards and licensing regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive pain management strategies
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active licensing credentials
- Proven experience in patient service, assessment, and delivering various massage techniques such as deep tissue and trigger point therapy
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management
- Prior experience working in a medical spa or occupational health setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with patient assessment procedures and developing customized treatment plans based on individual needs
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients
- Experience working within healthcare or wellness environments that require adherence to safety protocols and confidentiality standards
