Orange County Transit LLC is looking for caring, dependable School Bus Monitors to join our team at our Wappingers Falls location.
Pay & Schedule:
- Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour
- Minimum guaranteed: 5.5 hours per day
- Monday–Friday
- AM & PM split shift
- Flexible schedules available
Responsibilities:
As a School Bus Monitor, you'll help provide a safe and positive transportation experience for students each day.
- Assisting students while boarding and exiting the school bus
- Supporting the school bus driver during transportation
- Working with children with special needs
- Helping maintain a safe, calm, and respectful environment on the bus
- Securing wheelchairs when required (training provided)
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to pass a drug screening, physical examination, and background check
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- Compassion and patience when working with children, especially students with special needs
- Ability to work an AM and PM split shift, Monday through Friday
