Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Line Cook to join Ed's Fish & Chips. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious fried foods, and breakfast sandwiches that delight our guests. Your enthusiasm for food preparation, attention to detail, and commitment to food safety will ensure every dish meets our high standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a memorable dining experience for our customers. You will be working along side our Chef/Culinary Manager with alternating shifts.
THIS IS A TIPPED POSITION ($15/hour plus tips) - ALL TIPS EARNED IN FOOD TRUCK ARE KEPT BY FOOD TRUCK EMPLOYEES.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a simple, high volume menu according to established recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food handling and preparation procedures adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including fryers, flat-top, utensils, and workstations
- Support food service operations by efficiently preparing orders during busy periods
- Follow properskills for food prep, portioning, and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly required
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Familiarity with, meal preparation, and catering processes
- Excellent proficiency in food industry standards for kitchen work
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality standards
- Ability and willingness to work 20-30 hours per week with flexible scheduling
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
