Job Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Transportation Specialist to coordinate and manage all aspects of transportation logistics within our organization.
Applicant must have a background and experience in logistics, planning, scheduling and freight dispatch.
This position will require knowledge of transportation systems and Quick Books.
Duties
- Coordinate transportation activities, including dispatching freight and managing fleet schedules using transportation management systems.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette
- Manage freight documentation, shipping schedules, and supply chain records with precision.
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems such as Quick Books.
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, freight handling, and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers
- Effective dispatching skills with the ability to coordinate multiple shipments simultaneously
- Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for internal and external interactions
- Competency in using multi-line phone systems for efficient communication flow
- Typing skills necessary for quick documentation updates in fast-paced environments
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
