Duties
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, aircraft components, avionics systems, and heavy machinery using hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic instruments.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues utilizing schematics, CAD drawings, AutoCAD files, and root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying problems efficiently.
- Conduct repairs and fabrication tasks involving sheet metal work, welding, soldering, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to restore equipment functionality.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future inspections or repairs.
- Assist with calibration and testing of equipment such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM), multimeters (ohmmeters), ammeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure compliance with industry standards like AS9100 and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Support aircraft maintenance activities by inspecting airframes, assemblies, avionics systems, and related components in accordance with aviation safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to review schematics and technical drawings for assembly or fabrication projects involving sheet metal or structural components.
- Adhere to safety protocols including heavy lifting procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, or vehicle repair environments.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, CAD drawings (including CATIA), AutoCAD files, and technical manuals related to aerospace or military equipment.
- Experience with root cause analysis techniques for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100 for quality management systems within aerospace manufacturing.
- Electrical experience including wiring, soldering, circuit testing, and working with avionics systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers), power tools (drills, grinders), welding equipment, calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other precision instruments.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams for assembly or repair tasks.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) related to aircraft maintenance and safety standards.
- Experience working with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting purposes.
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks safely while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $25.15 - $28.00 per hour
