Duties
- Prepare baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and other treats following established recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in food preparation tasks including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients for breakfast dishes and baked items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and food processors.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with creative designs to enhance presentation and appeal.
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety standards, including proper sanitation, storage, and handling of ingredients.
- Package baked goods for retail or catering purposes while ensuring accuracy and presentation quality.
- Support high-volume production needs during busy mornings or special events while adhering to recipe guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience in baking or food production is highly desirable, especially with baked goods and pastry preparation.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling practices to ensure safety and quality.
- Knowledge of food safety management protocols and adherence to health regulations.
- Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in product quality.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing portion sizes effectively.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, scales, and other culinary tools.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members in a busy environment.
