Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person to support fabrication, machine setups, maintenance, and routine troubleshooting while helping keep production moving safely and efficiently.
Weld and Fabrication Duties
Weld and fabricate frames, posts, brackets, and related sign components from written blueprints, job cards, measurements, and verbal shop instructions. Duties include fitting, cutting, drilling, grinding, and checking parts for accuracy, quality, and safe workmanship before moving work forward.
Machine Setups
Perform daily equipment setups, including press setups, tooling changes, dies, and adjustments on older production equipment. Set up, run, and verify machines are working properly and safely.
Maintenance Duties
Assist with basic shop and facility upkeep, equipment maintenance, minor repairs, and other tasks as assigned.
Troubleshooting Expectations
Troubleshoot issues, solve problems, and use manuals or available resources to handle routine maintenance or equipment concerns before calling in outside help.
Qualifications
Welding experience required, fabrication experience preferred but not required, mechanical ability, good attendance, willingness to help where needed, and ability to lift, bend, climb, and work safely in a shop environment.
