Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient work environment. Your leadership will inspire the kitchen staff to deliver outstanding dining experiences morning, noon and night. Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to uphold high standards of quality and presentation.
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient shift management and seamless teamwork during busy service hours.
- Oversee inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels
- Collaborate with leadership to accommodate special dietary needs and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage food service operations ensuring timely delivery of hand crafted dishes.
- Support menu planning efforts by contributing creative ideas that align with current culinary trends and guest preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment by enforcing sanitation standards and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably with banquet or fine dining experience.
- Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and kitchen management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work culture.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and food safety regulations
- Experience in a scratch style kitchen is a non nogotiable
- Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through food service.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of food handling and preparation. Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
