Position Summary
The Lead Pre-K Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a high-quality preschool program focused on kindergarten readiness. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Pre-K students, implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and creating a positive classroom environment that supports academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten.

Implement and follow curriculum and lesson plans aligned with Georgia Early Learning Standards.

Create engaging, age-appropriate learning activities that promote literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development.

Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor student progress toward kindergarten readiness goals.

Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.

Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques.

Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and classroom records.

Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers to support program goals.

Participate in required training, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and center policies.
Qualifications:
Required:

Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Early Childhood Education, or Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of preschool or Pre-K teaching experience.

Demonstrated experience with kindergarten readiness instruction.

Strong understanding of child development and early learning standards.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Ability to pass all required background checks and state clearances.
Preferred:

Georgia Pre-K experience.

CPR and First Aid Certification.
