Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Milling Operator to join our manufacturing team on the first shift. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling (horizontal and vertical) machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in programming, tooling, and machine operation will ensure efficient production workflows and high-quality outputs. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC milling machines using detailed blueprints, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming to produce precise parts.
- Operate CNC milling equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring adherence to production schedules.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure accurate machining.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of CNC machinery including Fanuc controls and other automation systems.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify part dimensions against specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to inspect finished products and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Assist with tooling selection, setup adjustments, and program modifications as needed for continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines with familiarity in Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAM programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical principles.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings including GD&T specifications accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining processes.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment with exposure to fabrication, machining, or materials handling.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to factory operations including forklift operation and materials handling equipment.
- Familiarity with other manufacturing equipment such as CNC vertical mills and lathes is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
