Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and excellent customer service skills. As a Sandwich Maker, you will be responsible for crafting delicious sandwiches while ensuring a high standard of food safety and sanitation. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a quick service setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and upselling menu items.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation practices throughout food handling processes.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Perform bussing duties as needed to maintain a clean dining area for guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with quick service or fast food restaurant operations is advantageous.
- Experience with cashiering, sales, and customer service is essential.
- Knowledge of basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the kitchen environment.
