Department Lead / Operator
This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a well known and established Glass Manufacturing company based in the Pacific Northwest.
This is an expansion of Tacoma Glass Manufacturing that has entered the local market under the name of Utah Glass Manufacturing. The company currently has 5 locations and began operations in Utah mid 2024 as it expands into the Rocky Mountain area. Utah Glass will follow the philosophy of Safety, Quality, and Service to our customers locally. Our products range from Insulated glass units, glass tempering, fabricated glass, and custom laminated glass. TGM has a management team that is committed to upholding core values of safety, quality, and service.
Job Description Summary
You would be responsible for safe and efficient leadership over the swing shift. This is a key position for the Utah operation reporting to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities
- Guide and lead those that are assisting you
- Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of the equipment and your work area
- Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to ensure production targets are met on time
- Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Requirements
- Experience in Glass or Window industry preferred
- A background in continuous improvement and measured results
- Ability to read/write instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
