Details:
Rotation: 72 hrs straight- of which include 36 hrs PAID on call.
Pay: Estimated gross monthly is $12,768 ( The total includes the bi-weekly $400 stipend)
Job Type: Assignment (16 weeks)
Work Environment: Combination of Hospital-Based work and IFTs/911.
Lodging provided
Location: Must be local to Iowa or surrounding areas.
Required Qualifications:
License: Current Iowa Paramedic License or EMS Compact State
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (required). PHTLS is preferred
Experience: 2-5 years as a paramedic (Combination of Ambulance and Hospital experience)
Licenses: Valid Chauffeurs Driver's License (Preferred), Ability to obtain Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of hire.
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and write)
Proven ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs individually without restrictions, and manage 200–300 lbs safely with a partner.
Skilled in bending, kneeling, and crawling on uneven terrain as required in emergency response environments.
Capable of sitting, bending, and standing for extended periods while maintaining focus and readiness.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level repeatedly during routine and emergency operations.
Operate ambulance in all weather conditions
Strong ability to coordinate closely with team members and perform effectively in high-stress situations.
Function under guidelines specified in Chapter 141 Code of Iowa.
Highly adaptable, able to take direction and adjust to changing situations and job duties in dynamic field environments.
Accepts second unit call as assigned (Up to 30 minutes response time.)
Proficient in operating emergency vehicles for extended hours, both during daytime and nighttime/darkness conditions
