Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Provide line of sight supervision to clients and skill building psycho-educational and/or support groups.

Complete house related chores as assigned.

Provide and facilitate educational and non-substantive counseling groups assigned and promptly document these activities in the client’s records.

Strive to increase professional growth and effectiveness through completing all required training.

Provides crisis intervention services when authorized and necessary.

Maintain active participation with the clients at all times.
-
Prepare and monitor medication administration then document all details in KIPU.

Document clients’ daily activities, unusual behavior, and pertinent information in KIPU.

Open communication with staff, therapists, and Executive Director.

Assist the Educational Director during designated school times, with education related activities and monitoring of the client’s computer internet use.

Encourage client’s participation in all daily activities and promote positive interactions among peers.

Carry out other responsibilities as delegated.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Minimum of one year of relevant experience.

First aid and CPR certification (we will pay for you to obtain if you don't currently have this).

Current drivers’ license and clear DMV record.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Basic Computer skills i.e. internet, email, and Word.

Must be able to lift and carry light objects and parcels as an incidental part of their job.
Education and Experience:

Possesses a High School diploma or GED.
-
Minimum of 1-year experience in the social services field preferred.

Demonstrates a genuine desire to work with the population served.
Knowledge:
-
A knowledge of regulations concerning of mental health treatment.

Working knowledge of substance abuse, mental health disorders, and treatment procedures for such illnesses.
Physical Requirements:

Frequent sitting must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.

Must be able to lift and carry light objects and parcels as an incidental part of their job.

The position needs to occasionally move about inside and outside the facility frequently.

Constantly operates a computer with other office machinery.

Frequently communicates with other employees and clients.

Must be able to travel between assigned facilities via car.

Beachside is part of Centered Health, which operates a diverse network of behavioral health treatment centers ensuring that clients receive individualized comprehensive care in the most appropriate setting.
Shifts may include 6:30 AM to 3 PM, 2:30 PM to 11 PM, or 10:30 PM to 7 AM on weekdays and weekends. This role is specifically needed to cover any callouts on the aforementioned shifts and for holiday and/or PTO coverage.
