Key Accountabilities:
- Assist with cloud deployment activities.
- Organize and clean the IT workspace and storage areas.
- Identify faulty machines, ensure they are securely wiped, salvage any reusable components, and prepare the remaining equipment for recycling.
- Wipe decommissioned machines that are still operational and install a fresh, generic Windows image on each device.
- Create and maintain an inventory of all laptops, including serial number, model, and current status (production, faulty, or decommissioned).
- Verify that all equipment is correctly assigned to the appropriate users.
- Ensure desks are properly set up and that all cables are neatly organized and managed.
- Inspect meeting rooms to ensure equipment, desk setups, and cable management meet the same standards.
Other Accountabilities:
Office Facilities maintenance:
o Conduct scheduled generator/power tests, portable appliance testing (PAT), and Display Screen Equipment (DSE) workstation assessments.
o Communicate with local building management or any local facility supplier upon which local I.T. facilities depend.
o Appropriately deal with periodic and unplanned building power maintenance which may be carried out outside normal working hours.
o Inspect and periodically test any UPS equipment.
o Regularly inspect and aid in the maintenance of Air Conditioning equipment in server rooms.
o Keep secure, escort visitors, and report any unauthorized access to server rooms.
o Maintain all server cabling to an adequate standard and ensure that any vital Internet connections or telephone lines are not at risk.
System Administration:
o Support the business continuity plan.
o Pro-actively identify improvement opportunities.
o Conduct ad hoc requests as directed by IT Team Lead and/or Systems Administrator.
o Conduct tests of systems and backups on a regular basis.
Windows Administration:
o Maintain domain user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
