At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Die Repair Technician / Tooling Technician to work with a leading manufacturing company in Pierceton. This role is essential for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of die casting and trim dies, ensuring that all tooling operates efficiently, safely, and meets high-quality standards.

- Monday through Friday, 10:45 pm to 7:00 am
Pay rates
Must-have requirements for Die Repair Technician / Tooling Technician
- Do you have experience repairing or maintaining die casting dies, trim dies, or similar tooling? Briefly describe.
- Can you read and interpret blueprints, cooling diagrams, and work instructions?
- Are you able to use measuring tools (tape measure to 1/32”, micrometers, calipers)?
- Do you have experience with shop equipment (drill presses, grinders, saws)?
- Are you comfortable working in high heat (300–600°F) with personal protective equipment?
- Do you have experience replacing ejector/punch pins or similar parts?
- Any experience with welding, forklifts, or overhead cranes? Please specify.
Role for Die Repair Technician / Tooling Technician
- Perform repair and preventative maintenance on die cast and trim dies.
- Locate, disassemble, inspect, clean, and polish die cavities, surfaces, and parting lines.
- Identify defects and complete necessary repairs to restore tooling functionality.
- Inspect and maintain water lines, ensuring proper flow and replacing fittings as needed.
- Prepare dies and cavities for shipment to external vendors and maintain backup dies to ensure production continuity.
