The dry side technician is responsible for the finalization of all plated parts. This includes separating metal components, properly operating the forming equipment, looking for and understanding potential defects, and keeping metalwork organized. This role requires handling sharp metal objects with precision and care, as well as digitally and manually logging components used.
Separating metal components involves using a file along the edge of the metalwork before using a chisel to pry the plates apart. Then, each stamper is placed in a neat stack to await forming, and each mother is either placed neatly in a stack to be put away or placed on a wooden pallet to be reused.
Each stamper is sanded, center punched, trimmed, coined and crimped using fully enclosed Sibert equipment. Then, each stamper is cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and visually inspected before being placed in a folder and sent to the production floor.
The Wet Side Technician is responsible for creating stampers, mothers, and fathers using the electroplating process. This includes monitoring and maintaining the electroplating tank chemistry, cleaning the metalwork with a high-alkaline solution, loading and unloading the electroplating tanks, and maintaining a clean work environment. This role requires handling sharp metal objects/harsh chemicals with precision and care, as well as digitally and manually logging components used.
The electroplating process involves cleaning the metal parts with both alkaline and acidic solutions, carefully placing each part in the chemical tank, and selecting the correct program on the rectifier. The wet side technician will be responsible for monitoring each part before and during plating, watching for potential issues with the equipment or process.

Position Summary:
This position will work 445pm-315am Monday through Thursday a 4x10 schedule.
The Plating Operator will operate and maintain the electroplating equipment to produce nickel stampers for viny record manufacturing. This position will work 330pm-200am Monday through Thursday. This is a 4x10 schedule. All overtime must be approved by the supervisor. Employees will be eligible for a full Medical, Dental and Vision package after 30 days and a 401K with a match after 30 days.
