We are currently accepting resumes for a class A stationary engineer. This position is a live on position. We offer a salary plus a 1-bedroom condominium which includes all utilities, cable television, internet and parking. The successful candidate will work a shift to be determined but will be on call for emergencies.
Job Description
The stationary engineer with minimal supervision performs preventive, corrective, troubleshooting, general and emergency repairs to the building’s boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, HVACR, electrical, building automation, plumbing and any other system or related equipment to ensure the facility is in safe and optimal running condition.
· Daily resident, staff and vendor interaction.
· Monitors, adjusts, starts/stops equipment as needed to maintain occupant comfort and achieve adequate building conditions.
· Utilize (BAS) Building automation system to monitor, tune, adjust setpoints and troubleshoot alarms.
· Complete daily logs on equipment per shift requirements.
· Installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of building equipment.
· Work with other engineers and maintenance staff to complete jobs and projects.
Qualifications
· Highschool/GED.
· Philadelphia class A engineer’s license.
· CFC universal refrigeration license (preferred but not required).
· Strong communication skills required.
· Hands on knowledge, troubleshooting and repair experience with boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, HVACR, electrical, building automation and plumbing is required.
· Hands on knowledge, troubleshooting and repair experience with McQuay/Daiken and Carrier chillers is required.
· Hands on knowledge, troubleshooting and repair experience with firetube, water tube, steam and hot water boilers is required.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, diagrams, P&ID’s and manuals for the purpose of Installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting.
· Computer skills: BAS system, work order system, email.
· Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.
Physical requirements
· Must be able to lift up to 20lbs on a regular basis and up to 50-80lbs on occasion.
· Climb ladders, stairs, work on roofs, work in crawl spaces and on mezzanines.
· Frequently sit, crawl, climb, kneel, balance and stoop.
· Work in hot, cold, humid, noisy, mechanical rooms and conditions. May on occasion get wet due to failed equipment.
· Walk extensively throughout the facility and site.
