Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Cook dishes with precision, maintaining consistency and quality throughout service
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including knife skills and equipment sanitation
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to ensure a positive guest experience
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant, catering, or food industry setting is preferred but not required; we welcome eager learners!
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating knowledge of special dietary needs and meal accommodations
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are highly valued
- Experience with food safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
