Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a 3/11 shift, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent patient assessment skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality nursing care in a long-term care setting. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives while working within a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care, ensuring optimal health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Implement infection control procedures and aseptic techniques to uphold safety standards.
- Assist with discharge planning, family communication, and education regarding treatment plans.
- Monitor residents for signs of acute pain or changes in condition, responding promptly to emergent needs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, or assisted living environments. Critical care experience such as ICU or emergency medicine is highly valued, along with familiarity with medical-surgical nursing, trauma medicine, or hospice & palliative medicine. Candidates must demonstrate strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to provide safe and effective patient care.
