The Hampton Inn Evansville Airport is currently in search of a proficient maintenance technician with expertise in basic plumbing, electrical work, heating and air conditioning systems, and the ability to perform minor mechanical repairs. The ideal candidate will possess the capability to assess issues and determine the appropriate course of action for repairs. The ideal candidate should also have practical experience in the specified areas.
- Surveying buildings and repairing mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Performing maintenance or replacement of light bulbs, batteries, toilet flush valves
- Maintaining parking lot grounds and collaborating with landscaping companies to enhance curb appeal
- Conducting furniture repairs
- Balancing and maintaining indoor pools
- Performing preventive maintenance on PTAC and rooftop units, including filter replacements and repairs
- Conducting monthly checks on fire extinguishers
- Repairing and replacing various items such as door locks, shower heads, faucets, toilet handles, and more
- Maintaining accurate logs, charts, and preventative maintenance forms
- Experience with general repairs involving drywall, vinyl, paint, and carpet cleaning
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks and approach problem-solving analytically
- Strong communication skills to maintain positive relations with guests and colleagues
Qualifications
- Certification or training in basic plumbing, pool testing, basic electrical work, HVAC systems, and mechanical repairs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to building maintenance.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and be on-call as needed.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects or perform manual labor.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems and carbon copy work tickets.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
