Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service for all shipping, mailing, and retail inquiries
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions and handle cash or card payments
- Assist customers with product demos, upselling services, and recommending shipping options to maximize satisfaction and store revenue
- Manage stock levels by merchandising products, stocking shelves, and maintaining organized displays
- Conduct retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and transaction totals with precision
- Ensure phone etiquette is professional when answering inquiries or providing information over the phone
- Support supervising staff by overseeing daily store operations, including supervising team members when needed
- Perform basic cashiering duties such as cash handling and balancing registers at the end of shifts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment to create an inviting shopping experience
- Engage in product demos to educate customers about available services and new merchandise offerings
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions
- Supervising experience or leadership skills to oversee daily store activities effectively
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for pricing, discounts, and transactions
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities and phone etiquette
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus for serving diverse customer needs
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management practices
- Retail sales experience in environments such as grocery stores or other retail outlets is highly valued
- Familiarity with cashiering procedures including cash handling and balancing registers
- Ability to demonstrate products confidently through demos or presentations
