Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient prep to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and sanitized throughout shifts to meet safety standards in production
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques including slicing, knife skills, and recipe adherence
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
- Experience in meal preparation, food handling, and catering is highly desirable
