We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
- Install new HVAC equipment following schematics and HVAC design specifications to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to maximize efficiency and extend equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and electrical diagnostics techniques.
- Repair plumbing components related to HVAC systems and refrigeration units, including ammonia refrigeration systems where applicable.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to accurately diagnose issues.
- Ensure all work complies with EPA regulations for refrigerants and environmental safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions to clients.
- Assist in the installation of HVAC/R equipment ensuring proper operation and safety standards are met.
Skills
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a strong background in system repair, maintenance, and installation.
- Construction experience is a plus for understanding building systems integration.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration systems, and mechanical systems repair.
- Skilled in using hand tools, electrical testing devices (such as ohmmeters), and equipment troubleshooting tools effectively.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, boilers, air conditioning units, and ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose complex issues quickly.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicle safely at all times.
- EPA certification required; additional certifications in HVAC/R or refrigeration are advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of varied backgrounds.

Pay: $38.00 - $70.00 per hour
