Quality Management System (QMS) Technician

Pay range: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Overtime Available – Candidates must be flexible to work additional hours as needed
Job Overview
We are seeking a Quality Management System (QMS) Technician to join a growing precision manufacturing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in quality and compliance within a highly respected CNC precision machining environment.
The QMS Technician will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, supporting ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D compliance, managing corrective actions, facilitating internal audits, and ensuring effective document control processes throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and revise Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards.
- Coordinate and facilitate updates to quality procedures and documentation.
- Train process owners on QMS procedures and documentation requirements.
- Manage and track corrective action requests (CARs) from initiation through closure.
- Assist manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams in determining effective corrective actions.
- Verify corrective actions are effective and prevent recurrence of issues.
- Generate and maintain monthly corrective action metrics and reports.
- Conduct internal quality audits and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support customer audits and external certification audits.
- Manage document control processes and quality records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
- Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment operating under ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100D standards.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Experience managing document control, corrective actions, and non-conformance reports.
- Experience performing root cause analysis using methodologies such as:
- 5 Why
- 8D Problem Solving
- Fishbone Diagram
- Experience conducting internal quality audits.
- Experience supporting customer and external audits.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Word and Excel.
- Experience with quality software platforms is preferred.
