Job Summary
The Packaging Supervisor works to maintain high sanitary stands throughout the preparation, set-up and operation of the designated bottling jobs while meeting the high-quality manufacturing specifications with a safe work environment. Supervision of staff and the bottling area. Always working towards the improvement of quality in all operations.
Essential Functions
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Operate and monitor assigned machines to detect product defects and/or machine malfunctions.
- Supervise, discipline, instruct and train area employees.
- Attend supervisor meetings and trainings.
- Work closely with other area supervisors
- Ensure orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot issues related to product quality and machine performance.
- Perform job duties within the established quality control guidelines of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Complete all job related documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain high sanitary standards of cleanliness of work space, equipment and materials at all times.
- Ensure supplies are stocked and or ordered.
- Perform cleaning duties of workspace to maintain sanitary conditions before, during and after processing a new job.
- Produce products that are defect free and properly identified.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks and other tools as required to perform essential job duties.
- Communicate directly with Supervisor concerning any discrepancies such as but not limited to: safety, quality, operations or health concerns.
- Follow the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines at all times.

Qualifications
· Experience in production
· Supervisors experience
· Ability to deal with staff members in a calm and professional manner
· Ability to communicate both orally and written to supervisors and other employees.
· Knowledge of general mathematics
· Experienced computer skills including word processors, spreadsheets and databases
· Ability to understand, follow and implement written SOP’s
· Ability to take criticism from other employees
· Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
· Ability to stand all day
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
