Door-to-Door Sales Rep — SafeStep Turf Cleaning (Uncapped Commission) North County San Diego | Full-Time | Commission Only
About the role
North County is full of artificial turf that's never actually been cleaned — hosed off, maybe, but never deep-cleaned. We built SafeStep to fix that: deep cleaning, pet odor and bacteria removal, and infill restoration for artificial turf, plus a monthly plan that keeps it that way. We're growing fast and bringing on a small team of door-to-door sales reps to knock North County neighborhoods and sign up new customers.
This is 100% commission, paid weekly on collected revenue, with rates that go up the more you close — plus extra pay for every customer you sign onto a recurring plan and for multi-property "neighbor bundles." No cap on what you can earn. Full paid training on the product, the pitch, and the tools before you knock a single solo door.
What you'll do
- Knock residential doors in assigned North County zones, prospecting homeowners with artificial turf
- Walk homeowners through before/after results and give same-day pricing
- Close one-time cleanings and recurring maintenance plans on the spot
- Log every door and every sale in our field app so nothing falls through the cracks
- Work core hours when people are actually home: weekday evenings and Saturdays
What we're looking for
- Comfortable approaching strangers and handling rejection without it derailing your day
- Reliable transportation and a smartphone
- Able to be on your feet outdoors for several hours a day
- Available weekday evenings and Saturdays — that's when the real production happens
- Prior door-to-door, pest control, solar, alarm/security, or other commission sales experience is a plus, but not required — we'll train the right person
- Coachable. We care more about how you respond to feedback than how polished you sound on day one
Pay & schedule
- 100% commission, paid weekly based on revenue collected
- Commission rate increases the more you close each month — no ceiling
- Bonus pay for recurring monthly plan signups and multi-property deals
- Reps who put in the work are realistically earning $800–$1,500+ a week within the first couple months; top performers earn more
- Full-time, roughly 30–40 hrs/week, built around weekday evenings and Saturday midday — the hours when homeowners are actually home
- Paid, hands-on training before you're ever solo in the field
