Pay Range: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour
Mesa Verde Country Club is a private equity country club located in Costa Mesa, California, known for delivering an exceptional member and guest experience. We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician III to join our Facilities team.
This is a hands-on, skilled maintenance position responsible for supporting the repair, upkeep, safety, and functionality of the Club’s facilities, equipment, and grounds. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working independently across multiple trades, including general building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, HVAC, and related facility systems.
What You’ll Do
The Facilities Maintenance Technician III will perform a wide range of skilled maintenance and repair work throughout the Club. Responsibilities include:
- Performing skilled maintenance and repairs on Club facilities, equipment, and systems.
- Supporting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, door, window, lighting, and general building repairs.
- Receiving, managing, and completing work order requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assisting with preventative maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
- Coordinating with the Facilities Director and outside contractors as needed.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for members, guests, employees, and vendors.
- Operating hand tools, power tools, maintenance equipment, and shop equipment safely and properly.
- Maintaining accurate records related to labor, materials, work orders, inventory, SDS records, and digital maintenance systems.
- Assisting with special projects, emergency preparedness, and Club-wide maintenance needs.
- Maintaining a professional, courteous demeanor when interacting with members, employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director or General Manager.
This role requires a strong service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly and professionally to facility needs in a private club environment.
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 5 years of facilities maintenance experience.
- Strong working knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, tools, equipment, and safety practices.
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general facility systems.
- Ability to prioritize work orders and manage competing maintenance needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and work order or CMMS systems.
- A professional, respectful, and team-oriented approach.
- A valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Country club, hospitality, resort, hotel, or similar property maintenance experience.
- CMMS experience.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- CPR/AED certification.
Physical Requirements
This position requires regular walking, standing, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing, crawling, squatting, stretching, and the use of hand and power tools. The role requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally push or pull carts or equipment weighing up to 75 pounds. Work may be performed indoors, outdoors, in varying weather conditions, and in temperature-controlled or refrigerated areas.
