Field Auditor – Coax/Fiber Telecom Construction
Long term ongoing contract
Location: Arlington, VA
Pay Rate: $40-43 an hour
Summary:
Responsible for performing quality audits of fiber and coaxial construction projects in the field, ensuring all work meets company and regulatory standards. Acts as the primary liaison between contractors, technicians, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and quality audits of telecom infrastructure, including fiber, coax, nodes, amplifiers, power supplies, taps, and enclosures.
- Review construction documentation, maps, and job records for accuracy.
- Ensure contractor work meets company, local, state, and federal standards.
- Verify construction rework and repairs are completed correctly.
- Track project progress, costs, materials, and audit results.
- Support troubleshooting efforts and coordinate with contractors and network technicians.
- Maintain safety compliance and participate in safety meetings.
Qualifications
- Fiber/coax construction experience required.
- Ability to read construction prints and network designs.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Teams, and Smartsheet.
- Network Maintenance Technician experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
Work Environment
- 80–90% field work, 10–20% office/computer work.
- Frequent regional travel; occasional overnight stays required.
- Independent role with daily field audits and reporting.
- Monday–Friday availability required.
