Geriatric Care solutions is a family owned company providing care to seniors and persons with disabilities. We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Activities Director to join our established team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with individuals and our staff to provide quality programs.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, plans, and implements all activities for program.
- Manages the activities team including volunteers, recreation staff.
- Maintains the schedule of all activities for the day including preparation of weekly activity plan.
- Coordinates activities with other agencies and participates in planning and implementation of activities for the community.
- Manages the budget for all program activities.
- Maintains accurate records of all program activities.
- Provides feedback on new ideas and programs to program staff and other community partners.
- Participates in training staff on new programs and policies as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Degree or experience related field preferred or equivalent work experience with emphasis on mental health, social work, counseling, or related field preferred.
- Caregiver background including L1ma, CNA or CMT may qualify with right background and personality
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision; ability to multitask; ability to prioritize work; ability to manage time efficiently; ability to meet deadlines; ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people (i.e., clients, family members, staff, vendors).
- Clean drivers record
