Support Teacher for Young Preschooler Classroom: 2-3 year olds
The Children’s School is hiring a qualified permanent, year-round Early Childhood Teacher to support the lead teachers in our young preschooler class. This class has 12 children with two lead co-teachers and a part-time support teacher that provides additional support to the lead teachers with prep, transitions, providing breaks, helps with lunch, rest time, and overall supervision. The Children's school highly values teamwork, interpersonal skills, reliability, and adaptability.
Position Hours: 10am-5:30pm Monday through Friday. Please only apply if you can work the required hours Monday through Friday.
Due to teacher-child ratios enforced by the city, as well as NAEYC, dependability and punctuality is crucial to our school. At this time, we are not able to accommodate scheduling conflicts that interfere with the above schedule.
In August, we re-evaluate schedules and positions based on student enrollment and teacher requests, in which there may be openings in other classes or full-time positions available. We typically have a low turnover rate and several teachers have been employed at our school for 5+ years, with some teachers celebrating employment with us over 15 years!
The individual will be eligible for full benefits even at 'part-time' hours.
**Please note: we do not offer health insurance at this time.
