TIG Welder – Metal Fabrication
1st Shift & 2nd Shift | Pay Based on Experience | Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Halpin Staffing is seeking an experienced TIG Welder for a Metal Fabrication opportunity. This position is responsible for setting up and operating TIG welding equipment to produce high-quality aluminum and steel welded assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong TIG welding experience, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work with precision measuring tools.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate TIG welding equipment for aluminum, mild steel, and stainless-steel applications
- Perform seam and tack welds while maintaining quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, sketches, and work instructions
- Use calipers, micrometers, scales, and other measuring tools to verify specifications
- Set fixtures, gauges, and stops to ensure accurate weld assemblies
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following safety procedures
- Complete production documentation, move tickets, and scrap tickets accurately
- Assist with workflow by supporting upstream and downstream operations
What You Bring
- 2+ years of TIG welding experience, preferably with sheet metal and aluminum
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precision welds
- Good mechanical aptitude and hand dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attendance and a positive, dependable work ethic
