B&B Electric Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. We specialize in commercial construction, tenant improvements, municipal projects, and design-build electrical installations throughout Southern Nevada.
We are building a forward thinking electrical contracting company. Our electricians are expected to be skilled craftsmen, effective communicators, and comfortable using mobile technology to manage project documentation and daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Install commercial electrical systems in accordance with project plans, specifications, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, specifications, and electrical drawings.
- Install conduit (EMT, Rigid, PVC), cable tray, wire, lighting, panels, transformers, switchgear, and electrical equipment.
- Coordinate work with Project Managers, Superintendents, General Contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
- Mentor apprentices and help maintain high-quality workmanship.
Technology & Documentation Requirements
Applicants must be comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and construction management software as part of their daily responsibilities.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Using project management applications to access drawings, schedules, and assigned tasks.
- Clocking in and out using digital time-tracking software.
- Leading work activities when assigned by the Foreman or Superintendent.
- Completing accurate daily job reports, including progress updates and jobsite photos.
- Assisting with weekly progress reports and manpower updates.
- Participating in and documenting weekly toolbox safety meetings.
- Uploading photos, as-built documentation, punch list updates, and project information.
- Communicating professionally through company-approved communication platforms.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial electrical construction experience.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and electrical schematics.
- Experience with commercial construction, tenant improvements, retail, municipal, healthcare, educational, or industrial projects.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work from ladders, lifts, rooftops, and active construction sites.
- Comfortable learning and using construction technology and mobile applications.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
