Paxton Presbyterian Nursery School is hiring for the 26-27 School Year! We are looking for an energetic Substitute Assistant Teacher to join our team in classroom. If you love children and are looking for a part time, rewarding, morning job where you are part of a caring team then look no further!
This position schedule: As needed Monday through Friday from 8:45-11:45am.
Essential Duty:
Job Summary:
The substitute assistant teacher is responsible for providing safe and developmentally appropriate activities for a group of children. The substitute assistant teacher supports the classroom teacher in creating a classroom environment that addresses the needs of the whole child, fosters children's natural curiosity, and prepares them for the world.
Essential Functions:
- Promote feelings of trust and security in the program
- Assist in completion of timely, neat, accurate documentation of
- Simple daily house cleaning duties in each classroom
- Greet participants and guests warmly and enthusiastically each day
- Maintain safe, clean environment, teaching and modeling good hygiene skills
- Helping students potty/diaper
- Assist teacher will other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with children
- Proficiency in communication skills, both oral and written
Possible Schedules:
Availability needed as needed Monday through Friday 8:45am-11:45am (This is a September - May position)
Must possess or be able to possess all childcare/education clearances.
Pay: Up to $14.50 per hour
