Job Overview
We are looking for a detailed-oriented and proactive Inside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a primary contact for our customers—handling inquiries, processing orders, and providing technical product advice. You will also partner closely with our Outside Sales team to deliver exceptional service, expand account relationships, and maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Processing & Quoting: Efficiently handle customer inquiries, process orders, and provide accurate pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms. Suggest suitable alternative or substitute products when necessary.
- Account Development & Support: Market product lines, value-added services, and inventory availability to current and prospective clients. Support assigned Outside Sales Representatives with account management and dedicated customer service.
- Strategic Pricing & Negotiation: Negotiate and generate competitive sales quotes based on purchase volume and market trends to secure business while maximizing margins and profitability.
- Data & Account Maintenance: Keep customer records current, including sales contracts, bonded inventory requirements, contract terms, and special account details.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: High school diploma. College Degree preferred.
- Industry & Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of company products and their practical applications is essential.
- Math & Financial Aptitude: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations quickly and accurately, particularly calculating profit margins and percentages.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with computers, data entry, and standard Microsoft Office applications.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent listening skills, sound judgment, and a creative approach to resolving customer inquiries and challenges.
Physical Requirements & Working Environment
- Extended Station Use: Ability to remain seated at a workstation for prolonged periods.
- Equipment Use: Ability to operate a computer keyboard, monitor, and phone system continuously throughout the workday.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
