Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to respond effectively in emergencies
- Support individual developmental needs by collaborating with special education professionals when necessary
- Document observations of children’s growth and behavior to inform planning and reporting
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare centers or preschools
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
- Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid preferred or obtainable upon hire
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior management strategies
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration
- Ability to work flexible hours in a dynamic childcare environment
