Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and positive energy upon arrival
- Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems ensuring accurate seating arrangements
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times
- Answer guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or menu options
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to enhance guest comfort and experience
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring satisfaction from start to finish
- Support team members during busy periods by providing excellent guest services and facilitating smooth operations
Experience
- Previous host or hostess experience in food service or restaurant settings preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests and team members
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Knowledge of guest services, serving, and hospitality best practices to deliver exceptional guest relations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
