Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (Travel)

Shift: Rotating (primarily 8-hour evening shifts; may include 10-hour shifts and occasional day or night shifts)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Summary
St. Peter's Health is seeking an experienced Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join its Laboratory team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of laboratory procedures while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and patient care. This position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts and proficiency across multiple laboratory disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Process and analyze specimens in:
- Blood Bank
- Hematology
- Chemistry
- Urinalysis
- Microbiology (including Gram stains and culture setups)
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of test results.
- Adhere to laboratory quality assurance, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Float within laboratory departments as needed (no floating outside the laboratory).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Laboratory Technician experience.
- Current MLT or CLS certification through ASCP or AMT.
- Active Montana Medical Laboratory License.
- Previous travel healthcare experience required.
Required Experience
Experience with the following systems and equipment is required:
- Epic EMR
- Sunquest Blood Bank
- Siemens Aptio Line
- Siemens Atellica analyzers
- Sysmex XN9000
- Sysmex UN3000 or Iris urinalysis systems
- Gel methodology for Blood Bank testing
- Microbiology culture setup and Gram stain procedures
Pay: $1,800.00 - $1,900.00 per week
Experience:
- Medical Laboratory Technician: 2 years (Required)
- Epic EMR: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- MLT or CLS certification through ASCP or AMT (Required)
- Montana Medical Laboratory (Required)
