Warehouse Attendant & Light Maintenance
Job Summary
The Warehouse Attendant & Light Maintenance employee is responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing inventory while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse. This role also performs routine light maintenance tasks and assists with the care, inspection, and upkeep of the company's vehicle and large equipment fleet to ensure facilities and equipment remain in good working condition.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Duties & Field
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments, check for accuracy.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping or delivery.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, telehandler, mini-excavator and forklifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and office environment.
- Pick up material from vendors
- Deliver material to job sites as required-respond to PM's, and Operations Manager's requests
- Report damaged inventory, equipment malfunctions, and safety concerns.
- Take materials to landfill, and recycle centers (like Hammerhead, ecycling Maui)
- Track tools and company assets
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular inventory counts.
- Perform year-end inventory
- Work with Accounting, Project Manager's, and Operations Manager as needed.
- Track spending with Purchase Requisitions and PO's.
Light Maintenance Duties
- Perform routine facility maintenance, including changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, tightening fixtures, and completing minor repairs at building 320 Ho'ohana.
- Maintain warehouse shelving, tools, and equipment.
- Keep work areas clean by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility and equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Assist outside vendors and maintenance contractors as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Vehicle & Equipment Fleet Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of company vehicles and large equipment for cleanliness, safety checks, and operational readiness.
- Conduct oil changes, tire replacements and order parts when needed for vehicle repairs
- Clean and maintain company vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment, solicit mechanical help as needed.
- Monitor fluid levels, tire pressure, battery condition, and other basic preventative maintenance items.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs with vendors or maintenance personnel.
- Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and inspection documentation.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are properly fueled, organized, and ready for daily operations.
- Report on mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly to management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, maintenance, or fleet support experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of vehicle and equipment preventative maintenance.
- Forklift/Telehandler certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
