Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for the review, management, and administration of project contracts, subcontracts, and compliance documentation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction contracts, risk management, and documentation control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and administer incoming contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
- Track and direct contracts throughout review process.
- Ensure compliance with all contract requirements.
- Coordinate with all team members to ensure alignment between proposal language and contract terms.
- Prepare and maintain logs for contracts, insurance certificates, lien releases, and other critical documents.
- Interface with clients and their legal teams on contract clarifications and risk mitigation.
- Maintain digital and physical records in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in construction contract administration, preferably in the low voltage or specialty contracting sector.
- Familiarity with public works construction and Division 27 & 28 systems a plus.
- Strong understanding of legal and commercial terms commonly found in construction contracts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with various construction management software a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment:
- Office environment, temperature-controlled
- Work Location: Stockton, CA
- Physical demands: Repetitive movement of hands and fingers, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Travel required: minimal, no overnights
