A full-time, full school year Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 educational setting located in Palo Alto, CA. This contract role offers the opportunity to work directly with students across all grade levels, providing essential speech and language support to enhance their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each student
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with school policies and regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development as needed
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Experience working as an SLP within school settings strongly preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and communicate clearly with students, families, and staff
- Strong understanding of K-12 educational environments and developmental speech and language disorders
