Overview

Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation for various dietary needs
- Handle food with proper safety and sanitation practices, including knife skills and food handling procedures
- Cook and plate meals efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Support catering events and special functions as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Ability to handle knives skillfully and perform meal preparation efficiently
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable
- Excellent food handling skills and understanding of the food industry standards
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of food service, serving, and culinary best practices
