PEL/VIP is seeking an experienced RN – MedSurg/Tele to support a high‑acuity surgical/telemetry unit in Charlotte, North Carolina. Job Description
The RN – MedSurg/Tele will provide high‑quality care to a diverse patient population requiring telemetry monitoring and medical‑surgical interventions. This role requires strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills, experience with non‑titrating cardiac drips, and the ability to manage complex patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage non‑titrating cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone
- Provide comprehensive MedSurg care including:
- Tubes/drains
- IV starts
- Blood product administration
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care
- Float within region as needed; paid for travel time if floating mid‑shift
- Document accurately using EPIC
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 18 months of Med/Tele experience
- Required:
- Active RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Strong competencies in cardiac monitoring, IV skills, and MedSurg workflows
- Ability to float within scope of practice
- Experience with electronic charting systems
