A respected senior living community in the Byron, GA area is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and organized Wellness Director to lead our resident wellness and life enrichment programs. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors through engaging activities, wellness initiatives, and meaningful resident experiences.

Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive wellness and life enrichment program.
Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly activities that meet the interests and abilities of residents.
Supervise, mentor, and schedule the wellness team and volunteers.
Foster resident engagement through individual and group programming.
Coordinate community outings, special events, entertainment, and holiday celebrations.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dining, and other departments to support resident well-being.
Maintain activity calendars, participation records, budgets, and required documentation.
Ensure all programs comply with applicable regulations and community policies.
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and community partners.
Previous experience leading activities, recreation, wellness, or life enrichment programs in senior living, assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred.
Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Creative, compassionate, and resident-focused approach.
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for special events.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation is a plus.
Certification in Activity Director, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Experience with memory care programming is a plus.
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
