Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings, ensuring a fun and positive experience
- Operate POS systems such as Clover POS, process transactions .
- Prepare food items by scooping, serving, and maintaining cleanliness of ice cream stations, crepe stationsadhering to food safety standards
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
- Upsell additional products like specialty sundaes or beverages to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including counters, utensils, and equipment, following proper sanitation procedures
- Support food industry best practices by assisting with food prep, bussing tables, and ensuring quick turnaround during busy hours
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Clover POS smooth transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly and efficiently
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate change management
- Previous restaurant experience or working in the food industry is a plus; culinary experience is beneficial but not required
