Step into a vital role as a Farming Maintenance Technician at our cannabis farm. As a Farming Maintenance Technician at our cannabis farm, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the essential infrastructure that supports our farming operations. Your duties will include repairing fencing, lighting, and performing general facility maintenance. You’ll also provide support to the fabrication team and assist with various upkeep activities such as weeding, painting, and power washing. Your skills in basic electrical repairs, plumbing, welding, and preventative maintenance will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our farm.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farming infrastructure, including fencing, plumbing, and lighting.
- Assist with general facility upkeep, including tasks like weeding, painting, cleaning, and power washing.
- Provide support to the fabrication team, including basic welding and electrical tasks as requested.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance services as needed.
- Order and manage necessary tools, parts, and supplies to ensure availability for maintenance tasks.
- Work closely with the Fabrication team and Farm Director on special projects and operational improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and completed projects.
- Implement and follow a preventative maintenance (PM) program tailored to farming operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of facility upgrades and improvements.
- Travel to other farming facilities as needed to ensure consistency in maintenance operations.
- Please Note: This is an active farm position. Candidates must be available to work nights and weekends as needed, especially during our peak busy season. Flexibility is essential to support critical farm operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general facility maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing and welding tasks.
- Strong knowledge of repair techniques for fencing, lighting, and general infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and preventative maintenance practices.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

- Regularly works outdoors and in a farm/industrial shop setting, in varying weather conditions.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Works around heavy machinery, moving equipment, and power tools; requires close and distance vision with the ability to adjust focus; must follow all required PPE and safety protocols.
- Exposure to dust, chemicals, and noise (typically low to moderate), and cannabis plant material.
