Kiddie Academy of Fleming Island is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and nurturing Infant Assistant Teacher to join our exceptional early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Infant Teacher in providing exceptional care for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Follow individualized feeding, diapering, sleeping, and care schedules.
- Support age-appropriate developmental activities that encourage cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional growth.
- Comfort, soothe, and respond promptly to infants' individual needs.
- Maintain accurate daily communication with families regarding meals, naps, diaper changes, and developmental milestones.
- Ensure compliance with Kiddie Academy standards and all Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing regulations.
- Maintain appropriate supervision and staff-to-child ratios at all times.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to provide the highest quality of care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare center is preferred.
- Florida DCF 45-Hour Introductory Child Care Training or willingness to complete required training within state timelines.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to successfully complete Level 2 Background Screening.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in daily classroom activities.
